The rules of the thing. Shorter than you feared.
Version 1 — 6 September 2026. These terms cover walkstreet.fun, the Android app, and everything that spawns on the map. Using any of them means they apply to you.
Five lines. The rest is detail.
- You are 18 or over. What you may hold where you live is yours to know.
- A catch hands you a fragment of a tokenized stock. That is a token that tracks a share, not a share. It can fall. It is not insured.
- Playing costs nothing. The shop is optional, and nothing in it makes a drop bigger. It is a game with cardio in it.
- Fake the walk, get nothing. If the checks refuse you and they were wrong, a person will look at it within 72 hours.
- The wallet is yours, key included. Lose the key and the tokens go with it. We cannot get them back.
The company behind Walk Street is being set up. Clause 09 says who you are agreeing with in the meantime, and how to reach them.
Who is allowed to play
You must be 18 or over. If you are not, do not sign in and do not claim anything.
The age floor is not us being precious. What a catch hands you is a token that tracks a share rather than a share, and a game is a silly place to meet your first one.
On geography we say what we know and no more. The map covers cities on most of the planet and the vault releases to whoever walked to the spot, wherever that is. The issuers of these tokens do not offer them to US persons, and rules on holding one differ from one country to the next, so what you are allowed to hold where you live is between you and your own rules. We are not going to pretend to know them for you.
One human, one account. Do not sign in on behalf of somebody else, and do not claim for a child.
Now the part a terms page usually leaves out. Nothing on our server checks your age. The app asks at first run and keeps your answer on your own phone; the download page asks before it hands over the file. Neither answer is ever sent to us. On the web there is no question at all: you connect a wallet and you can claim.
So read the age floor as a condition you are accepting, not a door you got through. Claiming while under 18 is a breach of these terms, and it is one the software does not yet stop. Closing that means the same box in front of the first claim on the web, the answer recorded against your account, and the claim endpoint refusing an account with no answer on file.
The Legendary contest runs in a shorter list of countries than the rest of the game, and its own rules are on the Legendary rules page. Where those rules say something different about a Legendary, they win.
What a catch actually gives you
You walk to a drop, you stand within about 40 metres of it for 20 seconds with the screen open, you tap, and a fragment of a tokenized stock is sent to your Solana wallet. That is the whole loop.
Now the part that matters. A tokenized stock is a token issued by a third party (Backed for xStocks, Ondo Global Markets for Ondo tokens, or the issuer named on the token) that tracks the price of a listed share under that issuer’s own terms. It is not a share. It confers no shareholder rights: no vote, no say, nothing to turn up to. Its value moves with the underlying and it can fall, and it depends on its issuer: if the issuer fails, the token can lose value the share keeps. It is not covered by any investor compensation scheme or any deposit insurance scheme, so if something goes wrong there is no fund standing behind it.
Nothing on this site or in this app is investment advice, a recommendation, or a suggestion that any of these companies is worth owning. We hid tokens in front of shops because it is funny and it makes people walk. We have no idea what your portfolio should look like and we are not qualified to guess.
Once a token is in your wallet it is an ordinary token on Solana, a public chain. What you are permitted to hold, sell or declare where you live is your business and your tax authority’s, not ours.
What it costs, and what it pays
Playing costs nothing. You never need to buy anything to play or to catch, and you never need SOL: we pay the network fee on every catch. There is no shop, no subscription, no premium tier and no loot box. If a shop ever opens it will be optional, it will be described here before it takes a payment, and nothing in it will make a drop bigger or move one.
And it pays nothing. Walking is not income and this is not a job. A catch hands you a small amount of something whose price is set by a market we do not control and cannot predict. It may be worth less tomorrow. It may be worth nothing. Anyone who tells you a walking game is a yield strategy is selling you something.
The vault that pays out is public and countable — go and count it — precisely so this claim is checkable rather than a promise.
Playing fair, and what happens when you do not
The whole game is the walk. So, the short list of nos:
- No faked position. No mock location providers, no GPS spoofing apps, no emulators, no typed coordinates.
- No automation. No scripts, no bots, no replaying a captured claim, no driving a fleet of phones from a desk.
- No multiple accounts. One person, one account, one wallet in the game. Farming a drop with a drawer of identities is the thing every limit here exists to stop.
- No interfering with the service: no hammering the API, no probing, no trying to make the vault pay twice.
The server scores what your phone sends — the trail of positions, the motion the accelerometer actually recorded, whether Android flagged the fix as mocked, whether the travel between your last catch and this one is physically possible — and refuses the claim when enough of those tells stack up. It is a judgement made by a machine on evidence, and machines get it wrong: a bad GPS day in a street of tall buildings can look like a lie.
A refusal costs you nothing else. It burns none of your allowance, it does not touch your existing tokens, and it does not close your account. Walk a few steps, let the fix settle, try again.
If you think a refusal was wrong, contest it. Write to support@walkstreet.fun with roughly when and where it happened. A person — not the same machine that said no — reviews it and answers within 72 hours. That is the same promise the app makes on its Legendary rules screen, and it applies to every refusal, not only to Legendaries.
For deliberate, repeated fraud we can stop serving claims to an account and remove its catches from the leaderboard. When we do, you are told which of the four rules above we think you broke and what set it off, and you can argue with it the same way and on the same 72 hours — clause 11 spells that out. What we cannot do is take back tokens already sent: those are on a public chain and out of everyone’s hands, ours included.
The wallet is yours, and so is the key
You sign in by connecting a Solana wallet you already use (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or any other) and signing one sentence with it. Signing that sentence moves nothing and approves nothing. Every catch is sent to that same wallet. It is yours: we never hold its key, we cannot sign for you, we cannot move your tokens, and we cannot freeze them.
The other side of that coin is blunt. Lose the wallet’s key or recovery phrase and the tokens in it are gone. Not recoverable by us, not recoverable by support, not recoverable by anyone, because we never had it. Deleting your account here removes your profile and your history, and does nothing to the wallet or what is in it.
What the vault owes you, and what it does not
Drops are paid out of a vault the keeper refills from the fee split, and every refill is an incoming transfer you can read on the same contract the payouts leave from. It holds what it holds: if it empties faster than it refills, claims stop paying until it catches up. There is no entitlement to a catch, and turning up at a spot does not create a right to be paid.
There are limits, and they are published rather than hidden. A drop sleeps for about 10 minutes after somebody catches it. Your own wallet waits 2 hours between catches, and can take 6 in a day. There are further caps per spot, per network and worldwide. The live numbers are in the docs and in the API, and they move for the reasons in the next paragraph and no others.
Spots come and go. Shops close, sponsors stop sponsoring, a place turns out to be somewhere nobody should be standing at night. So we can move, pause or remove a drop, and we can move the radii, the cooldowns, the caps and the list of tokens — for one of these reasons, and not because somebody felt like it:
- what is left in the vault, since that is what decides whether a catch can be paid at all;
- abuse: a spot being farmed, a wave of mock locations, a drawer of accounts working one doorway;
- the place itself — unsafe, private, complained about by whoever owns the doorstep, or a sponsorship that ended;
- something upstream moving: a token its issuer stops offering, the chain, a map provider, or a rule we have to follow.
New numbers appear in the same places the current ones do — the docs and the API — so a limit that tightened can be read rather than guessed at. Changing these terms is a different thing and has its own notice period, in clause 10.
What you catch is yours on a chain we do not control. It never lived on our servers, so nobody here can move it, freeze it or take it back, and nothing that happens to this site can reach it.
Where you walk is your decision
We put a marker on a map. We do not know what is between you and it. Look up from the phone. Cross roads like an adult. Do not trespass, do not climb anything, do not walk onto rail tracks or private property or a motorway, and do not go somewhere at 2am that you would not go at 2pm.
If a spot is unsafe, or it has quietly become somebody’s driveway, tell us at support@walkstreet.fun and we will move or kill it. Reporting a bad spot is doing everyone a favour, including us.
You play at your own risk, and you are responsible for what you do outside. Do not play while driving. Please do not play while cycling either, however good you think you are.
What we are on the hook for
The service is provided as it is, with the faults it has on the day you use it. We do not promise it is free of bugs, that a claim will succeed, that a spot will still be there tomorrow, or that any token will be worth anything at all.
We are not liable for the market value of a tokenized stock, for the behaviour of Solana or any other network, for what an issuer does with its token, for a wallet you lost the key to, for a device that ate a claim, or for what happens on a pavement we have never seen.
What we are on the hook for is what the law says we are on the hook for. Nothing on this page removes a right that EU or local consumer law gives you — those rights cannot be signed away in a terms page, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us is not excluded either, because it cannot be.
Walk Street is not affiliated with Backed, Ondo, Backpack, the Solana Foundation, McDonald’s, Apple, Google, or any of the companies whose shops the drops sit in front of. Their names and their doorways are used to say where to walk, and for nothing else.
Who you are agreeing with, and how to complain
The company behind Walk Street is being set up. Its name, address and registration number appear on this page the day it exists, and a consumer mediator is appointed at the same time, which is when that route opens to you.
Until then you are contracting with the person who runs Touch Grass.
There is a human on the other end of support@walkstreet.fun, and the answer to a complaint or a contested refusal arrives within 72 hours. Start there: it is faster than anything else on this page and it is where every problem so far has been solved. The support page says what to include so the first reply is a useful one.
These terms are governed by French law, and whatever this page says, you keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. If something cannot be settled by writing to each other: we may only bring a claim against you in the courts of the country you live in. You can bring one there, or in France, whichever suits you.
Changes, and the account you can end
These terms will change, because the game changes. When a change actually affects you, it is announced in the app and on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the version line at the top changes with it. Those 30 days are yours: read it, argue with it by mail, or stop and export your key. Carrying on playing after it takes effect is how you accept the new version.
Fixing a typo, or saying the same thing in clearer words, is not a material change and does not start that clock. Neither is a limit moving inside clause 06 — that has its own list of reasons, and the numbers are published as they stand.
You can walk away at any moment. Delete your account from the app or from the deletion page — profile, handle, history, leaderboard place, gone. Export your key first. What we do with data while you are here, and what survives a deletion, is in the privacy policy.
Your profile is public, so here is what it cannot say
A handle, a display name, a bio and a small picture. Those four are the only things you write on this site, and all four are shown to other people: on your profile page, which has a URL and can be sent to anyone, in the live feed of catches, and on the leaderboard. That makes them our problem as well as yours.
None of the four may carry:
- anything illegal where this is run, or where you are. That is the whole of that one;
- slurs, or hate aimed at people for what they are;
- harassment of somebody named, or their private details — an address, a phone number, a face that never agreed to be there;
- impersonation: of a real person, of a company, of another player, or of us;
- sexual content, and nothing involving a minor, ever;
- adverts, referral links, a token you would like strangers to buy. A bio is 160 characters, not a billboard.
What actually checks that, precisely. When you save a handle, a name or a bio, an automatic word filter looks for slurs — pattern matching, not judgement — and refuses the save on the spot with the reason on screen. A short list of handles is reserved, so nobody can wear admin, support or official on our own domain. Your picture is checked for being a PNG, JPEG or WebP under 24 KB and for nothing else: no machine and no person looks at what is in it until somebody tells us. That is the honest state of it, and it is why the next paragraph exists.
Report something to support@walkstreet.fun. There is no report button on the site or in the app yet — it is an inbox, and dressing it up as a system would waste your time. Send the handle or the link and one line about what is wrong. You get an acknowledgement that it arrived, then a decision with the reason for it, inside the same 72 hours as everything else here. If what you reported is illegal rather than merely unpleasant, the answer says what we did about it.
What we do about it is: clear the offending field, and put a handle that had to go back in the pool for somebody else. For something repeated or deliberate, clause 04 applies. Every removal is decided by a person — the only automatic decision here is the slur filter refusing a save, which happens in front of you and can be fixed in the same breath.
And the other direction, because a rule with no way to be wrong is not a rule. If we remove something of yours, or restrict an account under clause 04, we tell you what went, which line above or in clause 04 it fell foul of, and what triggered it. Write back to the same address; a person reads it, answers within 72 hours, and if we got it wrong we put it back.
Still reading? The map is out there and the grass is not going to touch itself.
